17 Jun HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
This is my 12th Father’s Day without Max. There is and always will be a missing space in our lives, and holidays are always hard without one of your children. The loss is ours and Max’s—sharing life’s experiences, weddings that will never be, grandchildren that should’ve been but will never be born. A generation of family and friends, tapestries altered forever. We balance that through acts of decency, generosity, and enjoyment of whom and what we have, honoring those not with us. We hope that parents can be spared from joining the child-lost club, our mission at the Max Schewitz Foundation. To all, have a happy Father’s Day.
